Mick Carolan
is the founder of PRINCAP.
Experience
For more than 35 years he has worked across financial markets, principal investment, corporate finance and governance, advising institutions, boards, shareholders and investors through periods of growth, transition and complexity.
His career includes senior leadership roles in capital markets and investment banking, including as a Divisional Director of Macquarie Bank.
Following his institutional career, Mick became involved in principal investment activities before establishing PRINCAP as an independent platform focused on principal investment, strategic capital and special situations.
Long-Duration Engagements
Over the past decade, he has worked alongside founders, boards, shareholders, lenders and investors on a range of long-duration engagements involving capital formation, recapitalisation, refinancing, governance, ownership transition and strategic change.
Many PRINCAP engagements evolve into long-term relationships spanning multiple years, reflecting a belief that meaningful outcomes are often achieved through sustained involvement, aligned interests and trusted judgement.
International Relationships
Over more than three decades, Mick has built long-standing relationships across international capital markets, including investors, lenders, advisers and business leaders throughout London, Europe, Sydney, Asia-Pacific and North America.
